Dear Friends,
We have rescued a girl and placed her in our brand new shelter in Kathmandu, Nepal. Samjhana is just 9 years old, recently abandoned by her parents. For a while, she worked as a domestic servant, but she was mistreated and made to work long hours without being sent to school. From there, she went to stay with relatives, but, again, she was abused… this time, by her own cousin. One of our workers in Kathmandu found her, and now she is safe in our shelter. Samjhana is doing well and will stay in our care until we find longterm family care for her where she can be raised as all little girls should be!
Samjhana has been saved, protected, and rescued because of you. It costs approximately $300 to rescue and care for one of these young girls in our shelters – 100% of your donation is used for their rescue and care. You are the difference between a life of abuse and one of hope. Please help us… another daughter is waiting to be rescued!

Dear Friends,
We have just wrapped up our summer internship program with a first draft of ‘Bhitri Sundarta’, a curriculum ‘for girls only!’ We were able to do a pilot program in Kathmandu this summer with wonderful results. The new curriculum includes 23 lessons including topics such as self-image, peer pressure, trafficking, discovering talents, setting goals, role models, etc… This exciting program will be reproduced and introduced in churches and community centers all over Nepal with an emphasis upon areas where girls are at high risk of being trafficked.

We owe much thanks to Alyssa Johnson, Lindsey Addie, and Charity Jensen who worked very hard to get this done. We are truly excited about the impact that this message will have in the hearts and minds of young girls.
Thank you again for being apart of Global Family,
Clark & Jennifer Jensen

Vacation has ended for one of Global Family’s education programs located in a slum of Delhi, India. During the vacation many of the slum children went to their village to visit family and relatives. They missed the school program very much and were very excited to return to their classes in July. Now that school has begun again the number has increased from 30 to about 50 and still growing!
